Social Integration and Populism

The project evaluates whether and how subjective perceptions of social integration (feelings of relative deprivation, social trust, and subjective social status) are related to attitudes towards populism in contemporary Western European societies. The study is based on a survey of 6000 people in Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom. The doctoral thesis of Max Filsinger is embedded in this project.
